I realised that it's been a very, very long time since any of us posted on here so I decided to write something because it means putting off my ethics revision for the mock exam that little bit longer.
I was thinking about technology the other day and how although we sort of 'grew up' with technology - that our generation can still remember not having it as a central part of our lives. I remember in lower school we had one computer in the class room; one of those old ones with the massive monitor screens and it was a privilege to play a game on it or draw something on paint. Then there's the music side of it, I still remember having cassette tapes opposed to CD's and a chunky mp3 player rather than an iPod.
Obviously these things have grown with us really, it worries me that some children now immediately latch on to technology as soon as they're older enough to understand it. At least with us, although it was becoming increasingly popular and common, we still had to use our imagination and make up games etc. I'm not sure if children are encouraged in that way so much now? I hope they are because there's only so much that playing a game on a screen can do for your creativity and imagination.
Basically, are we all becoming to dependant on technology?
I think maybe we are.

When Nerds Gather...
I have decided to do a project, and I would be very much obliged if all you loverly friends of mine would take part? It's essencially a group blog where we each contribute blogs, and spread the awesomeness. Remember when we said we'd make a website one day Jen? This is kinda like it. It's like Facebook, but without all those annoying people. Give it a go? :-)

Plumbers in the kitchen
Hi.
I am jelous of you all, you with your holidaying. We have plumbers instead.
They're walking around the house as I type. I mistrust strangers when they are in my house. They could steal my cats or tread on something. I've had to clear out my whole room so they can get to the floorboards which was tiring but at least they can't destroy anything in there. All my books are in boxes except HP and the philosophers stone because what if they spilt tea on the box it was in? It's hidden in my sock draw, which is in the wardrobe that can't be opened because my bed's in the way.
Okay so I'm a little paranoid but shh.
They're here until Friday. We can't leave the house. All week I'm going to be sat here watching them suspiciously over they top of my laptop while they think I'm some kind of demented Golem hissing when they get too near my stuff.

Summer!
Hey guys! :D
It's been a few months since the last post so I thought I'd start this up again considering the summer holidays are pretty much here now - and all theexams are finished! It was cool last year to hear what everybody was up to during the summer, maybe we could do something abit like that this year too? If anybody wants to that is. (:
Hope you're all enjoying your extra long summer, even though the weather isn't always that great...

Zombie apocalypse!
So I found this pretty cool quiz that tells you how well you'd fair in a zombie apocalypse. It's better than the crappy facebook ones anyway.Post your results below?:)
Once you've done the quiz there's an answer button thing that tells you all you need to know.
EDIT: I got the numbers of my results:
physical rating- 50 (B)
mental rating- 12 (F)
experience rating- 7 (F)
emotional rating- 68 (B)
End result: F, I'm dead.
xD

Yessss
"Saying 'I notice you're a nerd' is like saying, 'Hey, I notice that you'd rather be intelligent than be stupid, that you'd rather be thoughtful than be vapid, that you believe that there are things that matter more than the arrest record of Lindsay Lohan. Why is that?' In fact, it seems to me that most contemporary insults are pretty lame. Even 'lame' is kind of lame. Saying 'You're lame' is like saying 'You walk with a limp.' Yeah, whatever, so does 50 Cent, and he's done all right for himself."
